The Spanish Research and Education Network (RedIRIS) 2018 technical event will take place in the City of Salamanca. The old city was declared UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1988. Founded in the pre-ancient Rome period by the Celtics, it became an important commercial center in the Roman Hispania. Currently it is one of the most important university cities in Spain and a reference for the teaching of the Spanish language. From the 8th–10th of May both working groups and community members will meet there following an E-Science workshop on the 7th of May.
